Why Missions?

The Missions Team of Fort William Baptist Church exists to fulfill the third part of our church family passion statement "to proclaim God universally". We will devote ourselves to pray and to serve together to enable the FWBC family to bring the glories of the God that we prize supremely, to the nations, that they may join us in praising God wholeheartedly.

We Support Local Bible Camps

Round Lake Bible Camp

Round Lake bible camp is an interdenominational camp owned and operated by Rural Life Mission.
We offer a wide range of activities that challenge our campers to experience and develop skills through participation and instruction in a controlled and safe environment.
Our program is being constantly developed to provide new challenges and experiences as campers return from year to year.
All of our camps provide a distinctly Christian environment for campers and staff to develop and grow in their walk with the Lord. We hold chapel sessions twice each day with a time of singing worship music and speakers who present biblical teaching with a focus on the gospel and Christian growth.

Camp Dorion

Camp Dorion has been in the community and had a heart for children and youth since 1946. We aim to build character through the message of the gospel and recreational activities. We aim to develop young people socially, mentally, physically and spiritually in a safe fun environment.
The purpose that has fueled our passion since 1927 is that: We present the Gospel, to those having the least opportunity to hear of Christ and especially to children and youth, and we disciple believers for living and serving through His Church.
We have a year-round lodge, called Eagles Nest. The camp boasts beautiful trails, a gentle creek ideal for canoeing, a wonderful swimming stretch along Black Bay and shallow swimming area, indoor activity hall for games and crafting, the largest climbing wall in Northern Ontario and perfect areas for paintball and archery.
